🔉😁 - Week #11 — Called to Serve in Curitiba Sul: Elder Ryker Roskelley

Hello, this week was a great one!

Started off by going on Splits with Eldet Sampaio and man this kid is hilarious! He lived in Sandy, UT for 2 years before the mission (he's a Brazilian) so he speaks good English and it was nice just talking about home and seeing a different area!

Next we have been teaching my homie José Júlio and he's progressing super well just gotta get him off that coffee. Everyone here drinks coffee even the 10 yr old kid Adixom we're teaching and it's such a challenge for them to stop haha. But we're going back to José's tomorrow so we'll see what happens. We have him on date to be baptized this Saturday.

Also we have new investigators in BC that are also super cool (Maria e Donizete) they have like 10 kittens and 4 puppies and they are so cute. I'm always just playing with the kittens it's awesome. They are doing great we'll see where things go. They always feed us yummy food when we go over so we love going to their house.

Also went to the Mall and got a nice platter of sushi with a member (Thalyta) and holy the sushi was shockingly pretty tasty I was surprised. And the Malls here are just super nice like The States it was cool walking around I felt like I teleported to The States for an hour!4️⃣

One of our favorite members' birthday was on Sunday and she had us over to eat this money strawberry cake with her family too!

Got transfer news as well and I'm staying with Elder Cabral for another transfer. So fire I'm excited he's really helping me with my Portuguese and I'm seeing some good progress because of his help!

Also the little kids we baptized last week have a chicken that had a baby. And they took the chick and chicken out and the stray dogs they feed were trying to eat the chicken it was crazy. I had to kick the dog pretty hard so it would let go hahaha I thought the chicken was dead for sure. It was hilarious the kids were goin wild!

Scrip: Psalms 34:8 "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.”

I'm really learning a lot out here and know that I am blessed when I trust the Lord, He's got everything under control. Sometimes we need to worry less and trust more!
