Yo! Week #10

Yo,

This week was great. It was another cold one and I woke up this morning seeing my breathe, but I got my first Baptism!!

Elder Cabral and I baptized these 2 brothers from Venezuela. (ages 11 & 9) It was such an incredible day! I was able to baptize Henry (9) and man I've never seen someone more excited for Baptism. Just watching these kids grow and learn about this gospel was fire!

So at the Branch they live in there's no font so we have to make a swimming pool hahaha. And that night it was 3°C so the water was soooo cold. We called an audible and Baptized them in the Afonso Pena chapel that has heated water. Man I'm happy we made that change. Also I gave a talk in church, but since it was super cold not very many people came to church so there wasn’t too big of a crowd. "Dang It” 👏🏻

We’ve got 2 more people on date this week one is Samanta she works at the little McDonald's ice cream shop out front of the supermarket so every time we go to get groceries we also stop by and share a message it's great. Also José Júlio is on date and man I love this guy! He had a work Visa and lived in Connecticut for 7 years so he speaks super good English and I get to talk to him it's the best hahah. He loves the Celtics too so he always tells me how the NBA Finals are going hahaha. He was a carpenter in the States so he built a sweet house here and he has this Lounger from Costco and he lets me recline in it and man that thing is comfy.

We had a new missionaries conference and I got to see all the homies I came in with and Sister Sands(from my MTC district) again. It was fun hanging out with everyone and catchin up!

My Portuguese is improving every day it's just so fun being out here. Also went on Splits with Elder Doman and we got pizza and found some new people to teach this week. All in all a fire week... hope you all are great!
