Week #16 - 4️⃣ months!🙂

Hello,

This week was pretty sweet here in Alfonso Pena. I got to baptize José Júlio yew!!!! He's trying to move to the States again in the next 2-3 years and he said maybe he'd move to Utah. I'm stoked! Also the Dragon really was throwing us some trials leading up to the baptism so firstly, we were filling the font at our church when all of a sudden the water just went to a trickle and I'm like what the... are the other Elders here and they turned off the water to mess with us? I go look and no one is there then I go to the bathroom real quick and there's just no water in the toilets or coming out of the sinks. I'm just holy frick the serpent of course he's causing a ruckus! So I grabbed a bucket and went into the cleaning room and started filling it cause the water worked there, then it stopped. And E. Cabral was calling Bishop and Presidente trying to figure out why the water was off. Then I went to the kitchen and the water was pumping out of the faucet so I grabbed 2 buckets and was swapping them and started filling the font by hand. Then after about 45 min of that the water stopped in the kitchen too.

So next we called the Sisters because they have a font at their ward building. And the Sisters were having their ward festa so they were like probably can't do it here sorry. Then they called back and said we started the font… our bishop said we'll turn off the music when you baptize him. So we went to their chapel and I baptized José in a freezing cold font and he was stoked because he said "it's like I'm in the River Jordan, Jesus and John the Baptist didn't heat their water." Gosh I love this guy always happy and positive!

Little homie Thyago (pronounced Chee-ah-go) loves Naruto and he let me wear his extra head band and take a picture with him. His parents are inactive and we're trying to get them back. This week we're gonna put him on date!

We also had probably the most spiritual lesson I've had yet, in Borda do Campo at a new referral we visited. I was just able to teach so naturally and could feel the Spirit working through me don't really know how to describe it.

Ya it was a great week!

Hope you all are doing good, thanks for all the love and prayers.
